Using the Full
Range of Features
1. Open the camera menu and point the arrow at WIND SCREEN.
2. Select the ON setting and close the menu.
•WSO is shown in the display.
Wind screen
The camera has an automatic wind screen to prevent wind noise from interfering
with the sound track. It can be turned on to operate with the internal microphone,
an external microphone connected to the MIC terminal or the DM-50 Directional
Stereo Microphone (optional) attached to the advanced accessory shoe. Make sure
it’s off when you want the microphone to be as sensitive as possible. Use the wind
screen when recording in windy places such as the beach or near buildings.
The wind screen can be used for audio dubbing as well as recording.
