When an Error Message/Error Code Is Displayed
When an Error Message Is
Displayed
Error messages may appear on the touch panel display
of the machine or the Web browser.
Self-diagnostic error messages appear in the following
cases:
When scanning or printing cannot be performed
because of an operational error
When you need to make a decision or take some
action during scanning or printing
When you need to make a decision or take some
action while browsing the network

When an Error Code Is
Displayed
If a job or operation does not complete successfully,
the error code is displayed on the Details screen for Log
on the Status Monitor/Cancel screen.
You can check the error code in the following locations:

When a job or operation is not completed normally:
Results row of the Communication Management
Report:
If an error occurs during a send, receive, or fax job,
the error code is printed.
