5-2 Troubleshooting Chapter 5

The serial number is located on the label on the back of the printer

(near the power cable):

Attempting to repair the printer yourself may void the limited warranty

as to that repair. See the limited warranty information that came with

your printer for details.

Basic Problems

❍ If the printer does not print

• Check your cable and power cord connections

• Check your printer driver setup

• Check your computer configuration

If your print quality is not satisfactory

• Align the print heads (see page 4-5)

• Clean the print heads (see page 4-6)

• If necessary, replace the BJ cartridges (see page 4-9)

If colors are missing

• Align the print heads (see page 4-5)

• Clean the print heads (see page 4-6)

• If necessary, replace the BJ cartridge(s) or BJ tank(s) (see page 4-9)
